What mods?
the guy already has a CAI so that is out of the pic anyways.
I removed mine just for the hell of it and put a drop in k&n filter i think i noticed a lil diff. it the whole car sounded better though.

intake and exhaust are rather basic and i'd say the starters way to go, but you give up gas milage for power. Also if your ever going to supercharge it down the line, then that will conflict with the intake. It's either the intake or the charger. Thats what i came to but luckily i never got the intake as a temporary hp fix, i went right to the supercharger, which ran me about 3,300 for the part itself.
College is more important than v6 parts...[
]yes, i said it...
v6 parts are so expensive for their output..even a nice intake and decent dual exhaust will cost u over 500 bucks..nice kit exhaust cost over 1k

so much baloney in this thread
first off getting an Intake is like wiping your A$$ with $200. they do nothing
removing the rubber airhorn (silencer) from the filter box and adding a K&N filter to the factory box will give you the same 3-4 hp gain as the $200 Cold air kit. removing the silencer creats a huge opening in the filterbox that allow alot more air into the engine and still draws air from the low air pressure fender well area. this will cost you $45 for the filter
a good dual exhaust system can be put on for under $200 if you can get a set of GT takeoffs cheap. a muffler shop can cut your Y-pipe and fabricate pipes to connect the GT exhaust to the cut Y-pipe. cut the GT mufflers off and add a set of Force proseries mufflers summit part# FRC-5201 and you will have a deep sounding highflowing dual exhaust for cheap. the Force proseries mufflers are identical in design to Flowmaster 40 super 40 mufflers and only cost $36/muffler
say $300 and you have good sound and good flowing exhaust and intake setup which will give you about 10HP combined. Underdrive pullies can free up 8hp byt reducing the load on the serpentine belt system and cost about $100.
as far as gears go you can get a set of used 3.73 gears for $50 from mps autosalvage. you need an install kit for $100 and a tuner for $400 to correct the speedo. then there is the install which will cost $250-$400. if your on a tight budget thern skip the gears.
the above 3 things are basically all you can do for cheap to improve power. the only other thing is a uppermanifold spacer made from G10 Phenolic material and cost about $100 and can add 8hp and 10 ftlbs of torque.
do not get a throttle body spacer as they do nothing and a larger throttle body is only good for supercharged or turbo'd cars or built to the hilt NAcars
the gears do really make a difference in getting off the line but they are expensive to do even using used gears.
the only other thing i can reccomend is a Transgo shift kit if you have an auto. it really improves the shifting of your lazy shifting 4R70W trans
