02 sensor help

Default 02 sensor help

my car is having problems starting andat idle and im getting terrible gas milage..will a bad o2 sensor effect my MPG and make my car run lean?

can I replace and o2 sensormyself? if so where can i get one cheap?

it could cause that to happen, usually it will throw a check engine light though. they arent cheap and you wont be able to find them cheap. they usually run 50-60 bucks a piece. you have 4 of them, 2 front and 2 rear. thats a good 200 bucks. and yea you can replace them yourself. the fronts can kinda be a pain but its not too bad. they just unscrew.

They are something you can do yourself. If it makes it easier for you, unbolt the midpipe from the manifolds and drop the entire pipe down to access the pair of upstream sensors.

If you do replace them yourself make sure to anti sieze on the threads and do NOT touch the end that goes into the pipe.

check engine light just come on this afternoon. got it checked and it was the driver sidefront sensor. thanks for the help!!

u scan tooled it i was going to say do that for 1 and if it was a rear 02 you could just get mil eliminators and problem would be solved and you would be good if u ever did decide to go catless
