My friend is having trouble making his 97 V6 run. The car was in an accident about 6 months ago and the car had been out of use since. The damage was in the back and most of it was cosmetic damage except the gas tank got bent a little. The car starts and and does the normal rev to about 2k rpm, but it immediately dies. After replacing the fuel pump and filter itwill runbut only if you rev it pretty hard. If you don't keep the pedal pressed it will die. Fuel pressure is normal and we just can't get the car to keep running. What can be wrong?

If at idle the car has sporadic RPM's and dies off if you do not gas it then Iwouldimaginethe problem beingthe idle air control valve (IAC)

 

Where is the IAC? This is the first time I've seen a V6 stang engine so I have no idea.
