help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

today i put on a K&N intakeand when im going about 60mph and take my foot off the throttle the car seems to jerk...i never had this trouble before i put on the intake do you guys kno what could be wrong?
i kno everything is installed correctly but could there be an air leak? thanks

a cai gives you better throttle responce but jerking when letting off i dont know

Never heard of that one. I have heard a lot of people complaining about then though with different problems. Maybe some oil from filter is on the MAF causing this. I would cal K & N.

I had a similar problem with my exhaust, except the 'check engine' light was on when this was happening.
I just unhooked the battery and rehooked it back up and it's been fine since.

First of all, I'm guessing you have an automatic? Second, did you have your battery unhooked recently? If you have, the jerk is normal because the PCM's long term memory was erased. The PCM has to relearn its long term memory. Just drive the car for a couple days, and the jerk will be gone.

i have a manuel and i pray to GOD you are right.....i had to unhook the battery when i installed the kit thats what it said to do in the instructions that came with the K&N kit....it is terrible im ready to take it off and put the old oneback in.....i thought this would help my car...did i do anything wrong...anyone have any other ideas? please in freaking out thanks

Have you tried checking to see if the filter is still there? That could be the problem...

Filter gets sucked in, Engine Implodes. ya that would be kool to do

The jerk will go away on its own. If you had an air leak, you would have a problem on acceleration, not deceleration. Take it on a 30 mile drive tomorrow, and you should be set.
