I really want to hear from some one that isn't making or selling these with a before and after dyno pull. Keeping the upper intake cooler can make more power but from what I've heard it's only about 8-10 degrees cooler.

Read that. I guess this company did over 40 + dyno pulls on it. Some of it's BS, but it seems like the tests were true. It's too bad that the link is so old, you could have seen the dyno sheet. I've seen it before and it looks legit.

I just bough a 9/16. I'm just waiting on my upper and lower manifolds to get here. The only other thing I've heard about this is that if you get your lower manifold ported you Might have to port the spacer a little bit too. You could ask steven at Vapauto.

So, are u replacing both manifolds? seems sweet... but if I buy the upper spacer do I need to change my stock upper manifold? or youjustdid it to get better performance?

Yeah I've seen that dyno test too but I also seen one for the Tornato that proved 10 hp gain too so those don't prove anything to me. As for testing on the street you can't tell how much gain it really is (if any). Look at those adds about a CAI where they say "I can hear the power now". What a crock! All they hear is air, not power. I would also accept an ET slip showong a mph gain (not a lower et) but no one has posted before and after of those either.

speakin bout wastin money... that tornado sh** doesn't work a bit. with those 70+ bucks I'llenjoygettin a couple lap dances more than atornado ride ha...

For a 5 buck bill i can buy a made-in-china fan and pry the blades off and stuck em into my intake hose lol....

... in conclusion: I'll give it a shot to the upper manifold spacer, in theory according my 'ol physics classes it will work

in theory the cooler air gives more power. but also in theory the air doesn't stay in the intake long enough to heat up that much. what you would get power from in another theory is the fact that the runners are longer and that improves torque and throttle response

From what they said, I'm sure they've done at least 10 pulls and I believe what they're saying to be true. That piece of ****, tornato, you were talking about is obvious enough that it won't do anything but cost you money. Everything has different results on different model cars, you got to remember that. CAIs it just depends on the set-up. That's what I think. Sometimes they'll even say that they had a modified car THEN added the CAI and will show you those results. The only other thing I can say is that you have to read-up on stuff.

Yeah, I'm chaning both manifold. At the beginning of this year I only had a CAI and Throttle body. I just put on and 25% pulley and I bought a upper port matched to 65mm tb- cut n weld - ported and polished intake, lower ported n polished intake, and I bought that 9/16 spacer. I'm trying to decide if I really want long-tubes or not. I wanted subframe connectors too, but I guess long-tubes and connector don't fit together.

If you buy the spacer you don't need to do anything else. But I've heard that if you get a ported and polished lower intake manifold that you might have to match it to the manifold spacer, which makes sense.I'm trying to build up a nice N/A car, from top to bottom (it's cheaper that way or atleast I think so).

Did I answer that good enough?

by the way I hope you mean that manifold spacer and not the throttle body spacer. The throttle body spacer is junk. I've read that it wouldn't hurt your performance but you won't gain anything either. It good to tighten up the throttle cable though or just the bracket that comes with it.

In my case, the intake spacer resulted in a fatter TQ curve, with the peak numbers reached about 500-600 rpm earlier than without the spacer, with the fall-off point at the top end remaining the same. Peak HP and TQ each increased by 3-5, but that could also be a result ofbeing a completely different dyno run with dis-similar ambient air temps. Granted, this was with a Mach 1, but I cannot see how an intake spacer wouldn't have similar effects on a V6. BTW I used a 3/8" aluminum spacer, anything more would cause definate EGR fitment issues.
