psh, forget a 4.6, its all about the 5.0L... I mean id get an Edge GT in a heart beat but if i buy a car with 8cyls im going to go classic muscle car.
considering the facts that the 5.0 was not really that powerful. the sn95 5.0s are slower stock than the 4.6 ones. making it the slowest v8 GT mustang. can you say joke

I'm really sick of hearing people whine about how slow their car is when the've done next to nothing to try to improve on it. Yeah the guy in a CIVIC won.. b/c he got off his *** and built that little four banger up. Even if you get a GT so what? some guy in an SS is going to roll by and hand you your ***. Only difference will be you'll do your bitching over in the 4.6 section of the fourm.

Lol, yes you can, kuz i was kidding... the foxbody5.0s arent even the greatest looking cars in the world and the sn95 isnt any faster.

Yeah, i cant wait to finish my plans as far as modding. or atleast til i get exhaust on it.. then i will start seeing improvement in the little stuff.

You dont have a tuner, gears, N02, shiftkit<-if you have auto and dont have one, why even try to race. You're giving up already, if you're gonna get mad at your car, get mad because it's slow when it's at it's best, and no, your car is not at its best.

Btw, your car is blue? Any blue in particular? Perhaps atlantic blue?
haha yeah it's atlantic blue. why??? yeah i know my car isn't at it's best but it seems more reasonable to save for a GT.

and btw it was a manual SI with full exhaust (headers) VTEC and something with the distribtor idk. there may have been more but i didn't see anything else.
Yeah our blue is like the base coat for like all the future blues after our years. So if he has a full exhaust then why dont you? I mean yeah sure who wouldnt want a GT but why wait until you can afford one, when you can make the one you have now just as good?
You can find decent mileage GT's for abot $8000-$10,000. Minus what he'd get for a trade-in on the V6, it might actually cost more to mod the car to GT level than it would to just trade in the six and buy the GT.
Well then why doesnt everybody just do this then instead of buying CAI and such of that nature? Cuz nobody has a lump sum of money sitting around, and if they got the sixer, why trade it in for the gt and have payments? Unless you could pay it off with money and trade it, but depending on what you get for the six it may and may not be worth it.
Well a CAI is an absolute total waste of money. I wouldn't buy a CAI for a ****in' Viper. And payments really wouldn't be too much, and the increase in power would keep you happy until you could afford some mods after payments are over.

What I'm doing is finding a GT for around $14,000-$15,000. My trade in value on my car is about $10,500. I'm saving another $2000, then using that along with the trade in value, as a down payment. Then financing the rest. $2000-$3000 won't be huge payments if you stretch them out and have decent credit.

your trade in value is about 10.5?

**** a GT but this then:

i wouldn't feel so bad about losing to a civic. i ran into one that gave me a good run when i had my 89 5.0 5 speed.i beat him, but not by very much. just be glad you don't have a 4 banger mustang lx. my buddy had an 87 and he was humiliated by corsicas, omnis and even hisgf's 1.3 festiva!!

Civics are not so bad in the hands of the right person. I won't lie I test drove a couple Civics and Preludes right before I bought my Mustang. I just couldn't stand the thought of being a Honda guy though. It still gives me chills lol.
I just don't see why this guy is convinced he needs two more cylinders to beat a car that has two less cylinders than what he's already got. If anything I would think getting beat by a car with a four banger would inspire you to mod your 6er. You already have the advantage so stop being such a wuss trying to go run and grab a V8 and put some work into what you got.

The insurance jump from a V6 to and 8 is ridiculous. There will always be someone faster than you out there just remember that.

i see what your saying but you don't have to call me a wuss for wanting a more badass car. it's kinda like calling someone gay for wanting a hotter girlfriend. and just face it GTs are nicer and faster. yeah a sixer can mod their car but unless they supercharge, most stock GTs will beat a six or at least give them a good run. i'm [might be] putting in a chip and just going to be happy for what i have and save my money.
