yeah so i'm at school two hours from home and my mustang

my mom took it to get inspected for me today and she didnt know about the lug socket thats made for my rims... so the people at the dealership ended up breaking a lug nut... their gonna replace it but i was still mad

anyway the mustang didnt pass inspection i need new brake pads, should i use this as an opportunity to replace the rotors since they can be seen with a set of drilled and slotted, then paint the calipers to match my car and do all this my self next time i go home? or just let them replace the brake pads and go onwith life?

also any good drilled and slotted rotors for the v6 pony descently cheap?

In my experience the drilled rotors crack, i would just go slotted, your not racing

Actually you do not want to race with drilled rotors, only slotted. You're never going to get them hot enough with street driving to crack them. Check ebay, that's where I got mine and they came with high performance pads.

Just get the Bullit/Mach 1 brake conversion from www.americanmuscle.com. It'll be about $800 and change for the front and rear conversion. They're 13" rotors with red calipers. It's a complete kit and should be really easy to install if you're handy with a wrench and have jackstands.

what state do you live in that actually takes brakes apart as part of safety inspection? I know in TX, ( where I'm an inspector) that we aren't suppposed to take ANYTHING apart. But where you live, they might allow it. Do you notice any probs with braking? if not, I would leave them as be. Or i could be off and this is just performance type of inspection, not justfor legal purposes.
