4.2 swap
I have a 2000 V-6 5-speed. I know where I can get a F-150 4.2. I know the 4.2 is just a stroker 3.8. How hard is it to swap the 4.2 into my Mustang? I am thinking it would be pretty simple.
from what iv heard no problem at all for split ports to swap them in
is it a entire motor orjust the crand or just the lower end no heads or intake
u can use ur stock 3.8 heads and intake manifold and headers

Well, I'm gonna leave the 4.2 out of the car for a while and stick a cam in. I'm a machinist so I can CNC port the heads. It'd be a pretty sick little 6-cylinder.
What I'm saying is (If nobody followed) i'm gonna leave the 3.8 in the car until the 4.2 is built the way i want it.

Look for wrecked F150's. The 1997 actually had the most powerful 4.2L in it. I bought mine out of one that was hit in the bed. It happened to be a built bottom end for what was to be a turbo application on a Lightning look-a-like V6 truck. Got mine fairly cheap. Check junkyards and truck forums. They are out there cheap.
