clean your iac

Unfortunatly that doesn't work most of the time since you can only access a small portion and not where it gets sticky. If you take it in to a shop they can hook up their computer and cycle the IAC to see if it's actually opening or not.

it could b but i sure hope not, all my info has been form mechanics cause for the first couple days it did it thats where it was, they are bettin 90/10 that it is electronic which is an easy fix, the coil pack could be givin up after 7-8 yrs plus the heat is just hurtin the conduction even more

Well my 1999 dd v6 after you drive it for about 10 miles the engine starts sputtering and losing power (hesitating), it doesn't completely die but runs very rough. I let it cool for a few minutes and then go a few more miles before it does it again. The check engine light isn't on and there are no stored codes in the computer. The car does have a bad exhaust leak which I think is a blown manifold gasket. Any ideas?
You'll know if you have a manifold leak or any type of exhaust leak. Sound like friggin machine gun driving down the road.

Check the two driver side plugs closest to the firewall. They are notorious for fouling and causing a very bad misfire. Also check the passenger side spark plug wires closest to the radiator. Those tend to rub or get fried on the stupidAIR tubes. Again sever misfire.

If all that checks out check your fuel pressure. Your fuel pump may be dying.
