In the picture jkeaton posted you can't actually see the remote entry module. it is behind the black bracket. the pic i posted shows the bracket with the anti-theft module.

So you have to remove what ever box is shown on the above picture? Or, it's just behind it and you can still unplug the connector shown to program?

The grey connector is not connected to anything. it's just there to get the car in program mode. My guess would be the dealer would have a mating connector with a switch to do it "properly". But a screwdriver does the same thing.

The important part is if there is a module behind the black part.

So I looked this morning, the far back just has the fuel reset button, or what ever it is. The driver side wall appears to have that connector as shown, so this just means I have to find a keyfob somewhere and try and program, yes?

jkeaton, reps to you, worked like a charm, got two fobs for $18.38 shipped, literally took me 4 minutes to complete all, now we have lock, unlock, trunk release and panic.

I missed place the sheet that came with my fobs, I'll see if I can find it and let you know. It had all the years and the process on it.

On a 2000 it should be:

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in
RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle
to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will
cycle again to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

The good thing is you can use this procedure to verify you have remote entry.

Entering the programming mode erases the code for previously paired remotes so have all the remotes there. The system should accept up to 4 remotes.

Bel, beat me to it, but the below is what the keyfob place gave me:
Here is for the 2000
