sigh..another gear post..
okayso im drivin an 02 v6 auto..and as my 1st performance mod/mods im looking at gears..and judging by other posts 4.10's are good for the auto's...but i understand to correct the gauges ill need a tuner..and ive read that while im in there i mine as well get a lsd or t lok or w/e...(i dont really understand that part)...so what im asking is with just the gears anda tuner..(im looking ata diablo)... would i see a major difference..or should i go ahead and get power to both wheels...and while im at it...where can i find this the cheapest...thanxx...because i know all these questions have bee nanswered numerous times but when isearched them i found useless info..

RE: sigh..another gear post..
You can get a reasonably priced brand new Ford T-Lok from www.gefracing.com
Definately get a limited-slip or no-slip differential installed with the 4.10 gears.

RE: sigh..another gear post..
The big killer on LSD is the fluid cost. For one quart of 85w140 I could buy 4 quarts of 80w90. I just had to get some new fluid at Ford and for 4 quarts and Friction Modifier it was around $75.
But you'll pay the exact same for installation if you do you LSD when you do your gears, so go ahead and spend the $200 extra now instead of install twice.

RE: sigh..another gear post..
The fluid you need is full synthetic, which is the exact same thing as the GT's have stock. i have an SCT XCAL2 and I love it. I can change it whenever I want. Such as tomorrow when I put in an 8.8 with 3.55's and t-lok. A few pushes of a button and it's ready to go. It will also let you compensate for your tire circumference, or revolutions per mile. Look to your tire manufacturer for you "rpm" of your rear tires.
