Default possible mustang problem.....

I have a 2001 V6 mustang that only has 32,000 miles onit. Since i have done some body work and what not it can sit in the garage sometimes. I have not driven it at all the past week or so but I decided to take it on a two hour trip. As i was on my way back and had to climb this big mountain on the interstate i looked in my rear view mirror and saw alot of smoke. I decided to get off at the next exit which was at the bottom of the mountain. But when i toped the mountain the smoke stopped and i never saw it anymore on the way home. I stopped at the next exit and checked the oil level which was a between add and full. My dad swears that it is because i am not driving it enough and that this is making the car burn oil. Is something wrong any suggestions......

it might be running lean or rich, try cleaning your mass air flow (MAF) sensor with some electrical contact cleaner. how long is it sitting; months, a year, or less. if it is only a week or so at a time that won't make it burn oil, but if it sits to long the seals may dry out i think.

actually my car is at a collision repair show because i wrecked the car only 1.5 wks after this picture was taken. No worries it was not the worst wreck on record but damage may not to good. I think i may have done something because fluids are on the ground. If you wanna know i ran over a curb and tore one wheel COMPLETELY to peices and this shreeded the tire. I also shoved the fender up and over shoving everything else out of line. So of course i've ordered another wheel and tire but that ruined my exhaust/ router plans for the summer. We will see wish me the best of luck with all this
