problem solved!!! Or so i hope. I disconnected the battery for a half hour, reconnected it and the check engine light went off Im guessing the computer reset itself (thats the only thing i can think). No I dont have the mesh screen in it anymore, i left it off when I took the stock air intake off.

Thanks for the help and advise!!!

That resets the computer but if you still have a problem it will come back on. If it does try putting the screen back in and see what it does. That's what I had to do on mine. It wasn't trowing a code but it didn't run right without it.

u can check ur codes with out a programmer

leave the key in the off position hold the odometer button and turn the ket to the start position and keep holding it until it flashes TEST then let go all guages will go to max then just click the odometer button until it says DTC its like 5 clicks away it may say DTC NONE mine used to say DTC 5284 (Oil Pressure Switch Failure) but nothing was wrong im told that that code randomly comes up but nothing is wrong with the oil pressure switch unless the light comes on i even used a scan tool and nothing came up its some kinda defult on the later model edges (mines a 04) and the oil pressure reading doesnt work either

you also have a built in digital tac exact speedo exact fuel tank level and a bunch more stuff

not to call you out, but the CIA is an intelligence agency in the department of defense. they take no money from your taxes or from anything, they are a government funded agency.

Mine would surge and some times the idle would drop way down and a couple times it dropped so low it died. Once I put the screen back in it was as good as new.
