Default shaker

saw in CJ ponyparts latest catalog an aftermarket shaker assembly for all non-mach 1 cars. Even works for 99-04 V-6 cars, just need to go get the Mach 1 fiberglass hood... only real problem is the hood is like 300+ and the kit is 700 bucks, so looking cool and getting some better power is gonna cost ya...

I know it doesn't apply to anything but the 05+ mustangs, however this is a pretty cool write up for putting in a shaker by TacoBill. He cuts the hood and everything, take a look.

I'd have to figure that with the proper TB and tune that the shaker assembly would give a little bit more power, maybe 10 or so more HP over the stock intake, as your sucking in cold air from outside of the engine bay. more power could maybe be had with some adapting of the Mach 1 cold air kit... I think it would be a nice mod, though expensive... how many V6 cars do you see running around sporting a shaker?

that does make sense...[&:]

I would say that one could just find a wrecked Mach 1, but usually the only time someone gives up one of those baby's is when they wreck them and they wreck them hard!
