americanmuscle.com has a shaker kit that uses ur stock hood for 800
it dont add any power but it is great in the looks and cool departments

 

For that much money you can get a carbon fiber hood , Its better in the looks department ( on my opinion ) .

 

the cdc shaker will NOT fit with the mach 1 hood without quite a bit of modification. the seal is a lot taller on the shaker and it sits in a completely differnt place on the hood. i wanted to get a mach 1 hood but i cant afford it so im gettin a cdc shaker applique. it just bolts on the stock hood and makes a clean look for the shaker. im wainting to buy it from a guy on 3.8 i should be payn for it within the next 3 or 4 days. ive got a mach 1 take off shaker sittin here.

 

ok. thats good to know that if I were to go that path (once I find a car I can afford) that I can give the look I want...

i would just go with the cdc one, its just easier and about the same looks to me

 

if you go with ford parts though it will probably be cheaper as long as you look for good deals. i coulda got a hood for 200 and i did get my shaker for 200 so thats 400. the cdc is 800. now if i wanted it painted anything but flat black add another 200 on but thats still only 600 bucks

 

yea but your bracket and everything would take a lot of work and know how, if u could do it all diy and would hunt for the good deals then yea ur right but if not the cdc would prob be about the same price
