Not right away, but a tune is a good thing when you do major modifications.

You could put an 1100ci Sherman tank engine in there.
It was just about fords first ever DOHC V8

It actually only weights about 850lbs when you take all the crap off that you dont need. Its an all aluminum block with billit internals!!!

If you are talking to me, my mods are in the sticky at the top of the V6 section.

As for the cheapest place to get a 4.2L...start checking local junk yards. There is one on 3.8mustang.com right now in the for sale section as well. expect to pay $600 or so depending on condition.

The hood is the real issue. I'd to a 5.4L mod motor if I was going big.
