you have better options with the 3.8 though
11 psi procharger will put you at 300 rwhp on a stock motor for 4k, sounds like your going to be putting that much into the motor alone for a 5.0
and your car will fail emissions with the 5.0 in it

Depends on the route you go. I did a basic M112 set up for $1500 for a guy. Pump, injectors, MAF, blower and related. Justin made some sweet numbers on his turbo'd stock V6 (ran 10's).
It's all in doing it right and buying the right parts at the right times.
If you are really that doubtful of the internals on the stock 3.8L....get a SC short block with the forged guts for $500. Can't do a forged rotating assembly in a V8 for that much.

You kinda danced around the the price thing. The only price you have was for the S/C, what about the other parts?

RE: 5.0 swap...
i don't thing the 3.8 is sluggish at all. before i got my fox i drove a '02 v6 and FOR THE PRICE of the car i think it has great performance and it was an extremely reliable(and much more comfortable) car. just because it says mustang on it doesn't mean it has to be fast. all mustangs are killer cars for the $ and look better than anything on the road 3.8 or 4.6 or 5.0....etc

I dont think they copied the intake design, which Ive noticed makes or breaks engines output.

Ok, that right there is why you are retarted. You just made fun of the Minivan 3.8L in the Mustang. What is the main difference? The INTAKE. Wait, what did you jsut say on this line.... the intake design makes or breaks the output? Can you explain why you are talking out of both sides of your mouth?
Go do some homework.
I danced around nothing. I listed a cost. M112's go for $400 all day. If you look, you can beat that, too.I bought my last M112 for $250 with 2.76" pulley already mounted. I've been kicking out V6 M112 kits as fast as I can until production hits. All of my customers have seen close to double the stock hp/tq and have spent less than the price difference between the V6 and V8 for their year.
And I'm not against V8 cars at all. Heck I have one right now (1970 Mach 1 w. 351W). I've also owned 81 fox, 82 fox, 90 GT vert, 93 GT vert (w/347) and a chrome yellow 93 5.0L LX vert. Never accuse me of not loving V8 Mustangs.

What I said was that Ford DID NOT COPY GM'S DESIGN. Thats why the Ford version is a slug. And the GM version rev's very quickly in comparison.
