Default Engine Modification question

I want this "power-pakage" from supersix and was wondering if this package is totally usable with the rest of the stock components on my stock 99' 3.8 engine, or do other modifications have to be made to obtain the "it adds 70hp" they advertise? Link Below.

Generally any advertised hp gain is under perfect circumstances and unattainable, and as a side note you could most likely get the port and polish locally for less money...

Actually, their package gains are fairly accurate. Now some cars may get a tad under, but generally speaking, they're within 10 rwhp close.

Local shops will do it for ya, just tell them what you want. Its alot cheaper to get it done locally, but i highly reccomend SSM

SSM puts time and money into their products to make the best stuff out there for the V6 motors.
They are VERY close with what they claim as far as hp/tq numbers. they don't play the number game most places do.

For example, you see a company claim an added 15 hp from their product. It is true, but you assume it's at the top of the band. It very well be at 1500 RPM, and adds nothing to your over all hp # (Just something to think about).

What SSM offer for numbers are the gains at the top end of the RPM range.

But SSM was a bunch of butt holes to the administration of this forum when we asked them if they'd like to become a site vendor, so that's something to think about as well. A local shop can do pretty much everything SSM can do, but for much cheaper. Their work may not be as 100% accurate as SSMs is, but it will be fairly close.

Any local shop can do a port and polish job, but I would put them in with SSM, Delk, Morona or any of the other top V6 parts companies. These aren't just warmed over heads, there isa tono of R&Dbehind everything they sell.
