But the CamaroIS dead. The new car that's coming out that Chevy chose to slap a camaro badge on is not a camaro. It's super expensive, (atleast gonna hit 30 thou...)it's got a huge *** engine, and did I mention it's HIDIOUS. My mom is a die hard Camaro fan and sheHATES it. The Camaro just turned into a Corvette, but ugly. One of those cars that people compare when shoping for a Mustang. "So and so car is faster than the Mustang but who can afford it?" The true roots of the Camaro "Pony Car" are gone.
However, the Mustang has stayed true to it's roots, even upto current day. Nice, sporty looking cars that are pretty fast and you can actually afford to buy a new one on regular wages.(Except for the 76 to 82 models.. those things were butt.)Ford has done a good job, and if they stop making the Mustang it would devistate the car community.

By the way, to the people who say that sixers are pointless, and eight cylinders is the way to go. Don't forget that Ford made an 85 hp V8 at one point in time.
It isn't that Mustangs are built poorly that they don't have that much hp, its just that Ford doesn't put what is really muscle worthy into the car. I'd rather have the 3.0L from the Ford Fusion with 221 HP than my 3.8L, but hey that's what Ford put in there.

alright first about the engine size... a pony car has and average sized engine it basically supposed to be the perfect car for everyone... the Mustang got up to 429 in a car that really didn't want it, and that's only because Chevrolet started comparing ***** sizes first. Bigger is not always better.
