Well... I'm facing a tough decision here... I live in CA and emissions are pretty strict... I want to go catless but I don't know if it'll be too loud and if it'll open up my flow too much, but that sound is amazing! Then I could just cut the back two cats off and go with an H-pipe... still sounds good and won't be as loud... Or I could just keep all the cats and go with an h... Probably not what I'd prefer to do... I want that sound, but I'm a little concerned! I'm leaning towards the catless right now, but I wanna see what everyone says. Thanks

ok look man.. if you're too worried about catless, then dont even bother getting headers, keep the stock ones.. or just get shortys..
but if u want the true roars of the damn car.. go catless.. its completely up to u.. i live in the 909 and so far i havent been pulled over.. cops here are like cops everywhere; ***holes... let me ask u something tho.. how many mustangs have YOU seen pulled over on the streets? NONE! cops are more likely to pull over rice rockets... so i'd say GET THE CATLESS H-PIPE like i did.. you wont be disappointed..

umm, if you live in cali come emmisions time your gonna be screwed if you mess with the cats. id keep em, sure it sounds nice without them but i would keep them so you dont get fined.

what's the better choice? have a nice sounding car? or get fined for like 12 grand, getting your car re-po'ed and possibly facing more charges?
i'd just suck it up and stick with the cats if i were you, IMO, a nice sounding v6 mustang isn't worth all that headache.

AH! This hasn't made things any easier, haha. Well... I'm still leaning towards catless, but which forums can I do the ask a cop thing? I'd like to know how often they really pull people over for a loud exhaust or emissions. I'm going to keep the stock exhaust and make it so that I can change it out come smog time, so no big deal there, I just don't know how common it is for them to pull people over because they think they might not have cats. Parts get here next week and my exhaust guy is ready after this week...

That's not it at all! Come emissions time I'll gladly swap back my old exhaust! 
It's driving around town that I'm concerned about! I'd like to know how often cops actually pull people over because they think they aren't up with emissions.
