Default LT headers

will long tube headers change the sound of my exhaust any or is it not worth changing.

LT's are worth the change, but it's better if you have some mods to where you really need them. As for the sound, it won't change the tone without some serious mods.

ok thanks. i plan on having a cia, underdrive pullies, chip, cam, and roller rockers. is that enough mods for them to be worth the money?

Yes that will be more than enough mods. The way LTs work is that they have equal length runners and are very long. And the way headers differ from exhaust manifolds is that headers scavenge(suck) air out of the cylinders. Basically it's like a vaccum. As low pressure, (fast moving) air moves across an opening, it will literally pull air from that opening. Now long tubes work so well because they have air being pulled faster to meet up with the air pulling on it thus creating a more "empty" cylinder so now more fresh air can fill up the cylinder and tada, you have more horsepower.

LT's are only effective if you open up the top end, IE: ported heads, intakes, TB, Valves. And YES, then LT's sound great with a free flowing system.
