Default Cleaning the engine

I popped the hood yesterday and i noticed.....my engine is kinda...dirty....Whats the best way to clean the engine? I heard about this foam stuff that is supposed to be sprayed on the engine...is that safe? also is using water safe as well?

yeah get a good spray on foam engine cleaner degreaser and spray everything except for eletrical connections. let is sit as directed and then just hose it off! you shouldnt have to worry about the water its not a big deal. then just run you engine for a lil bit to dry everything off and there you go! nice and clean!

Simple green straight, not deluted, but your engine has to be cool when you spray it on or it just evaporates. If you can hook your hose to the hot water conection for your washing machine or hot water heater, you can rinse it with hot water after the simple green sits for about an hour.
[sm=alcoholic.gif]<<do this while your waiting for the simple green to soak.
