Default Startup Procedure!

Hey i have a few questions... ive been doing some engine work on my car etc... and have everything unplugged and i havent started the car in about 3 weeks... is there a procedure to reconnect everything... as in the battery negative then positive poles... or a procedure to switch the key on so the cars computer wont go crazy? Or would it just be connect and switch on thats it?

Connect the battery last, negative first, positive last, then crank her up. My car sits for weeks and weeks now that I'm offshore and I disconnect the battery everytime I leave, no problems yet. I'm also running blue tops, mainly since they can take the long periods of sitting better than conventional batteries, or even yellow tops for that matter.
