Functional Side Scoop/Empty Weight?
ORIGINAL: 2000Nasty232
I have no input on the scoops but the best way i know to find out your weight is go to a truckstop somewhere near your town and they have a scale there for the truckers but anybody can use it, some places chage a few bucks to use it but they are pretty acurate and you get the weight of your car with you, oil, gas and whatever else you have in there.

I can't seem to see the empty weight on my Mustang v6 '07 Coupe. Can only see gross/max. I'd like to know so I can run SCT Livewires HP/Torque and 1/4 mile tests.

Btw functional side scoops are pointless on a mustang. Its is not mid engine or a rear engine car.(obviously)
just like Xemeth said it would be just cooling your brakes. Also drag would be extremely mininal.

There really is no function to side scoops. You can argue it cools the brakes, but you're very rarely gonna be driving fast enough and braking hard enough to cool them.
Plus, they look dumb on s197's.
