Default brake problems?

so ive had my brakes looked at and the everyone i have taken it too said "nothing is wrong", however, one of the mechanics i had taken it to said it might be my MC or booster that could be acting up, but after taking it out he found out that my vaccum lines had been not pushed in all the way and fixed it. i later encountered the problem again taking it to a 2nd mechanic that said the "nothing was wrong bit"

information:

breaks less than a year old (august 2006)
rotors have been turned if i remember correctly (my dad had the pads changed shortly before i bought it off of him)
nothing has been changed
break fluid looks fine at max level

now to my problem:

when i push my pedal in, i feel a sort of grinding feeling and a noise from my pedal
i can pretty much push the pedal too the floor if i wanted too
having some hard times stoping sometimes not like i used to where i pushed the break in lighly and had ease of stop (i'm assuming this is because of a full pad?)

can anyone help me figure this out? do i just need to bleed the breaks again? its driving me nuts and i'd hate to get into an accident because i couldnt stop quick enough when i know there is an issue.

Bleed 'em VERY well. Sounds like you have air bubbles.
