Default installing 98 headers

Hey guys, im new to this forums and i have recently just bought some headers for my 3.8 L 98 mustang and I was wondering if you had to lift the engine to do it... or you can just put them in from the bottom. thanks for your help

Most likely, no. If you got longtubes from Mac, you can check this out from Supersix, a little write-up on how to do it.
LT Headers How-To
Mine should have shipped today... again... but I dunno, but if I get mine anytime soon, I'll probably do a write-up for here also.

Header swap on a V6 shouldn't take moer than 3 hours, nothing has to be removed otehr than the intake tube, the old manifolds and the cat pipe. It's extremely easy. Also go to Ford and get some new gaskets, they're like $7.

i dunno about the v6, but i was very disappointed with LTs when i got them put on my car. the gains were not worth the price at all. especially when everyone talked them up so much.

I absolutely love my lt's on the 6er. I'm having to figure out what brand to get for the Bullitt now. The whole powerband saw an improvement whe nI put them on.

my overall powerband wasn't affected nearly as much as i'd hoped. a lot of people say LTs give ~10RWHP if you're NA and much more if you're FI. my real world experience says otherwise. [&:] that's my before and after of LTs. it takes some time to break in the LTs too so they don't make my exhaust crackle and pop. when i first got them it sounded like a loud rice burner. now it roars, but still pops high up.

$7 for Ford gaskets?! Did I get ripped off?! Cost me like $30 for both gaskets! And anyways... headers came in today!
