Default Heads

Are the stage 2+ heads from super six CNC heads or CORE heads that are re-worked? I 'm thinking about getting my heads done locally but I want the same results/numbers that super six has for those stage 2+.

Give me some info!

send them to me i will exceed their exhaust numbers by farand fall only slightly short of their intake numbers by a few CFM for $300 (with your with stockvalves VS their larger valves)for the port job +$100 for resurfacing. if you want bigger valves you will have to find a machine shop to install them

Do you need to know right away if I wanted bigger valves or does it not matter? What all would you need from me?

Have you done this and dyno tested them? I doubt it but Super Six has because if you open up the exhaust too much you lose power, not enough scavenging. It's like going with too big a diameter header or pipes, you lose power.

TheMichiganRA. Buy from Super Six, you know those will be right.

Tom over at Supersix is real good, he did my first pair of heads. You may also want to check out www.delkperformance.com they did my second pair of heads that I am running now.

What stage heads were both of them? What all did you have done to them?

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. People (like me somtimes) get to interested in cheaper things that probably don't work other than things that do and cost a little more.

I want some heads I don't have to worry about fixing as far as rocker and push rods, ect. I just don't know what's all weak. I know I want at least the results of stage 2+ heads of super six and a cam that'll finish up my H/C/I kit. Yes I do want to supercharge it down the road but I don't mind buying another cam for that set-up when the time comes.

Thanks for the info so far. Let me know what you all are thinking!

I had stage 3 from supersix and stage 3 from Delk. The main reason why I went with Delk after super six was do to the cam that I got my Delk. The springs that were on my supersix heads could not handle the lift and no one makes springs that could handle the lift for the 7mm valve. Delk offers an upgrade to 8mm springs where the spring choices are well supplied to choose from. I got the Manley dual springs capable of .650 lift, compared to the springs for the 7mm that allow a max of .58. The cam I got from Delk is .58/.60, pretty big for a 3.8, but well worth it. They have a cam guru over that goes by the name of Matt. He knows his stuff, plus you might have seen him ina mag recently, he has a 9 sec v6.

Any thing else let me know.
