Default RE: Heads

I had stage 3 from supersix and stage 3 from Delk. The main reason why I went with Delk after super six was do to the cam that I got my Delk. The springs that were on my supersix heads could not handle the lift and no one makes springs that could handle the lift for the 7mm valve. Delk offers an upgrade to 8mm springs where the spring choices are well supplied to choose from. I got the Manley dual springs capable of .650 lift, compared to the springs for the 7mm that allow a max of .58. The cam I got from Delk is .58/.60, pretty big for a 3.8, but well worth it. They have a cam guru over that goes by the name of Matt. He knows his stuff, plus you might have seen him ina mag recently, he has a 9 sec v6.

Any thing else let me know.
Ok, I've told you that I want the power of at least the Stage 2+ heads form super six and I want something good for a supercharger down the road. I like the price of those heads. So I guess I really want to know if there are better heads for around the same price, which is about $1,600?

I forgot to mention...

I'm going to be running N/A for a while so would anything bigger/better than the Stage 2+ be too much for my car?

For $1600, no your not going to beat what Tom gives you. You can run stage 3 all day long N/A and its not going to hurt, the main thing you have to remember is that its going to come alive when you do add the supercharger.

You have to remember how early it is in the morning as well.

If you really want to get some v6 answers, go to www.v6power.net That is where most of the big boys hang out.
