this is a question for a friend of mine, he bought a 1999 v6 5 speed ford mustang from florida, and drove it back up here to PA. it has 96XXX miles on it and i got in it the first time yesterday and noticed that with the A/C on it idled around 2000 rpms. with the a/c off it ideled around 1800. I coudlnt think of a reason why it would be idling so high? anybody have any ideas? he has a fenderwell intake kit, and dual exhaust with dumps

 

He needs to cleanhis iac, that seems to be the problem most of the time.

Or it could be that the throttle body adjuster screw needs to be re-adjusted.
