Default Before I S/C...

I have a stock 2002 V6, auto. It's paid off and i like not having a car payment so i dont want to trade it on a GT, but id like the power (and sound of a S/C). I was wondering what i need to do inorder to get my pony ready for a supercharger. I was planning on getting the base 6psi procharger system.

The best thing I can tell you to do is to look at the modification list on here and see what the beginning mods are and also what other people have done, pretty much, do that. Heads, cams, exhaust, port intakes, forging is nice, etc. etc....lots and lots more stuff if you want a really built car.

You don't want to do that before a supercharger, though. You'll want to do the heads and cam (mostly the cam) differently NA than you would FI.

Best bet is get the supercharger right now. Then as you move onto a cam, you can get a cam specifically made for a supercharged application. Same thing with a forged short block. You'll want to run different compression supercharged than you would without, and if you run blower compression on a NA car, it'll run like crap. Same with heads. You be able to take full advantage of ported heads and rockers when you're blown.

an 11 psi procharger (innercooled) will be fine with the appopriate fuel upgrades and a good tune on a stock DD car

So, it is...feesable...to start with the S/C and build on it?

A stock system will handle 11lbs of boost? Thats one of yhe reasons i went with the lower boost option, i figured it be less work to get the car ready to handle it.

Start with the blower, and work around it.
You will however need a "true dual" exhaust system which replaces the stock y-pipe system with an x-pipe, h-pipe, or just some divorced pipes running straight back.
With 6psi you will basically harm nothing in your car if installed/tuned correctly.
Supporting updrages like upper/lower control arms, springs, sway bars, brakes, gears, lsdetc... will greatly increase the performance and also help in the traction department (suspension).

Ok, true duals. Check.

As for the suspension i was thinking about the Steeda Suspension Packages (1 and 2)

555-2126 - G-Trac for V-6: Level 1 [ul][*] 555-8201 Steeda Sport Springs[*]555-8094-3 Steeda Caster / Camber Plates[*]555-5246 Steeda Sub-Frame Connectors [/ul]
555-2226 - G-Trac for V-6: Level 2 for 99-04 [ul][*] 555-5710 Steeda Chrome Moly Strut Tower Brace[*] 555-8101 Steeda X2 Ball Joints[*]555-8104 Steeda Bump Steer Kit[*]566-19711 Steeda HD Rear Sway Bar [*]555-4095 Steeda Steel Upper Control Arms[*]555-4420 Steeda Steel Lower Control Arms [/ul]How's that?
