Default tuning question

i am finally taking my car to get tuned, but i was wondering if i should put the rest of the exhaust on or if it really matters. i have high flow cats connected to the dump pipes then i will be putting straight pipes into flow 40's then tips

well i'm not very car adept, but every little bit counts.

if you've got the stock mufflers on it now, i would definately switch to your full exaust, you'll get more power (even if only a lil)
if you just have the cats then nothing, i still would cuz you'll get a more accurate tune.

let us know how it goes

It depends on what kind of tune. If it's just replacing wires, plugs. etc, etc, then it doesn't matter. If you are dyno tuning then yes, finish the exhaust first.

It will not really matter on a stock car.

Oh, well, it will mater, but still not a whole lot, maybe a couple of hp. I'd just get it on the dyno to see what it's capable of, do some light tuning, take it out, run it a little bit, then, once everything is done, take it back in for a final, more "in depth" tune.
