i know there is a way to check for dtc codes with out using aford scanner i cant remember how to do it so if someone could thell me that would help me a great deal

hold the odometer button start the car when it flashes test release it and gauges will do a full sweep the click od again and all the bubls will light up again and it will give you your ecu number i believe and once mor and it will say DTC:NONE DTC: or DTC:11111 depending on what year your car is mine is random some times it saya DTC:none others it will be DTC: and a while back it gave me a DTC:with a 15 or 18 something but i was told that it was a oil pressure swithc and nothing was wrong that code gets thrown by the ecu and their is nothing realy wrong unless the check engine light comes on i tried using a real scan tool and nothing came up so i just dismissed it
