Trans problem???
One of my friends '99 Mustang is having alittle problem. It seems to be rattleing but yet the exhaust is on super tight with nothing hitting anything. It only happens low mph like backing out of the garage and back into it. Could this be a trans problem? And second off his car also is almost sputtering like around 4K if he floors it. It sputters only in that gear and as soon as it shifts its fine. ITs an auto. Thanks
i feel bad cuz noone has responded but i am man.

Well if it sounds like exhaust, but the exhaust is tight, it could be the baffles in the mufflers came loose. I had to take a Flowmaster back one time because of that.
As far as the sputter at 4k rpm. That can be a few thing like an 02 sensor or dirty injector or even a dirty fuel filter. I would have to say an air/fuel mixture prob for sure. You just have to start with the simple things first like adding injector cleaner to the gas tank.

NO NO NO I had the same problem with my 94. It could be the hermonic balancer when the engine is in low gear the there is a lil rattling noise until your rpm gets higher. The part is like $200 so try to shop around. I got mine for free cuz i got the hook up. But that could be the problem.
