I also have a 2000 and the paint is fading quick. I have recently noticed the paint on the spoiler pealing. I have heard that Ford paint is never the best. My brother has a 94 and his spoiler paint was gone after only about 6 years. Ford needs to invest in better paint or painting application.

dont go there, that paint will not last, i know a guy who use to own a ton of body shops and he said he got cars like that in his shop all the time that had a cheap paint job put on and to get rid of the old paint so he could put on new he would use an air hose and just blow it off....

and ford paint isnt that bad. if you take care off it it will last quite a damn while.

it's not the pain't thats the problem it the thin *** layer of clear coat... i just did my friends 97 and all i did was sand the whole car with 500 and re-clearcoated... it came out so nice... oh yeah i work in a body shop...still and apprentice though... but i'm getting there... (i'm in the process of designing a fiberglass dook skin formy 2000 with shaved door handles cos i hate the way the handles stick out so much) but don't just go to anyone for anykind of paint job...

actually, the majority of the time it is the prep work. anybody can paint. you can be taught to paint in less than 30 min. its the prep that takes a ton of time and practice
