Even those GT's will destoy that 6er. They weigh more and they are auto blah blah, but give the 96-98 some credit......98's have more hp than the 96,97 anyway.

I have beaten several non-GT 8cyls, but i have quite a few mods..... have not had the pleasure of going up against a GT yet though..... Racing the regular 8's is pretty close, so I would have to agree with most here...... v6 ain't gonna get a GT of any year without a tremendous amount of mods.
I was running in the 14's last year, and have done quite a bit, I will keep ya posted, headed out to Cecil CO Dragway friday to see how much I have gained.
Any way ya cut it, I do nt think a v6 is gonna get a GT without all new internals AND a charger (and I ain't talkin one of those dame electrics either)[sm=badidea.gif][sm=forgetit.gif]

The fastest I have ever heard of a 6cyl doing......
A 1999 Mustang with auto tranny, 11 psi procharger, flowmaster exhaust, drag radials and 3.73:1 gears and posi, and 91 octane fuel ran 13.38 @ 105.4 at Kansas City International Speedway
Not many 6cyls have this setup....... By fall, i will have the same + internals, superchips tuner and race suspension.... hoping to drive it under into the high 12's, but we will have to wait and see
