umm yeah ....an auto gt will rape u ...

now if ur talking about a 96-98 auto gt convertible......hmm....maybe????
Please.. Even those GT's will destoy that 6er. They weigh more and they are auto blah blah, but give the 96-98 some credit......98's have more hp than the 96,97 anyway.
beat a 99+v6 ....yes....

destroy a 99+v6.....naw....

Damn, you guys give our cars no credit.[>:] The 96-98 GT's are much faster than the 99+ V6.[sm=trust_me.gif] Unless the V6 has gears and many bolt-ons it just is not going to happen.
LOL naw man im not tryin to rag on 96-96's, i know theyre faster than 99+v6's, im just sayin theyre not that much faster. the reason being is that i raced my friends 97 gt auto convertible a while back and he only beat me by half a car length....if that...it was a close race. dont get me wrong, i mean its still a v8, of course its gonna beat a v6.
But the GT's are that much faster. You have to remember you raced a 97 GT auto vert, which is probably the slowest GT ever made in stock form. 215 hp + auto + extra weight.[] You may have been a better driver than your friend....i don't know the conditions you raced in. Regardless, stock for stock the 99+ V6 will be owned by ANY 96-98 GT.

I know first hand a GT will win because I raced one. I took him off the line and he caught and past me in roughly about 50 yards. The 4.6 has killer mid range power. If I ever get my top end mods installed, then It will be a fair race. [sm=burnout.gif] <<<this is how slow my Stang is, LOL.

Yup, that's getting up there in the miles. But I probably shouldn't sound so down on V6's because I know alot of guys with V6's really fast! 400 hp's plus. I had a 100 shot NX Nos kit on my 99 V6 and let me tell you, that thing kicked a$$! NOS kits are cheap these days. I've seen NOS in a bag for around 250 bux complete. That isn't very much money to spend to put you at around 250 horse power.
