I am trying to put a remote starter in a 2003 mustang 3.8L. I have the remote start installed and functioning but I ran into a snag with the PATS bypass module. I purchased a DEI 555P because the site that I bought it from said that it was compatible, but when I got it and started installing I realized that it may not work. The question that I have is regarding the connection to the ignition harness (see site below for the install instructions). The installation instructions say to cut the ignition wire and then to splice in the module in series to each of the cut ends. Pretty straightforward except that the directions call for a Black/White or blue wire and thereare no wires within the ignition harness that match. There is no explanation of what the connection is supposed to do, so I have no way of knowing if there is a wire of a different color that will function the same way. Anyone got any suggestions?????
