Default Buffing car

How many of you guys use a buffer when you wax your mustang? Is their a certain type of pad your suppose to use and a certain speed setting? Buffed my car 1week ago with a new buffer I bought (new to using the buffer), and I kinda dulled the glossy black paint on my stang because I held it somewhat too long. Well thanks

There's a detailing forum down the list somewhere. They know everything about buffing and will definitely help you with your car.

use a fine to medium compound with a rotary buffer, not one of those crappy orbital buffers. use a foam rubberpad that is of an eggcrate style on the buffer. buff the whole car with the compound then had wax the car with a good polymer like NuFinish. yes NuFinish is great stuff and not garbage like some might claim. the secret is to buff the car with a good compound first to remove oxidation and grime
