id kinda like to know too, i think you probably have to rip the seat apart. i dont think ther is an easy way to do it. that or maybe just unscrew those scres under it...lol, that might do it. never tried.

You raise the head rest up as far as it goes. Then you take a long flat piece of wood or metal (like a yard stick but a little shorter) and slide it down behind the head rest along the head rest support till you feel it hit the release (about 24" down). Push down firmly on the stick while pulling up on the headrest and it will slide out. That's how the 00 - 04's are anyway.
