Default bolt size for oil drain plug & oil leak info?

Does anyone know what size socket I need for the stock oil drain plug? Which direction do you turn it to lossen it? to the front of the car? This is the first oil change on the car and whoever did it before tourqed it on so tight im starting to strip it and cant get it off. Plus I have oil dripping lightly coming from up near the pulley next to the oil filter, any known leak from anything in that area?

thanks!

15mm. use a 15mm six point socket (not a twelve point).
If the socket fails you, you will need to use one of sockets made for getting a bite on messed up bolts, get that and a replacement oil drain bolt at auto parts store.
loosen the bolt counterclockwise as you look at it.
leak probably front crank oil seal or could be pan.
