94-95 5.0s react very well to mods, 96-98 GTs........ehhh........not so much. I wouldn't do the swap simply because you're not going to be gaining a whole hell of a lot, Ford canned that intake/head setup for a reason on the 96-98 4.6L. I's either sell the car for parts and use that on thesixer, or sell what you don't use and use that money to buy some Patriot heads, and a bettwer flowing plenum for the 97 engine, hell might as well through in the cams as well at that point. It will still cost some cash to do though, but it would go from slow to modestly fast with those two done, maybeupper 200 range rwhp.

I'd swap in the V8 if you did a PI swap to it. Stock PI heads, cams, and intake can be done for around $1000, give or take. You'll be at or around 230rwhp. Maybe a bit more, since the NPI motors have higher compression. But if you're gonna leave it NPI, don't even bother. It's a waste, IMO.
