Default worth it?

Might be buying a 97 gt parts car very soon and was wondering if it would be worth it to swap in the v8. Labor costs isn't an issue. The car was rearended but the drivetrain is good.

Well it depends what your wanting to do. If you are wanting to do a pi swap later on and put it in the upper 200s then have at it. But if your not going to do anything to major I wouldn't waste the time of doing it because with just my little list of mods im about dead even with one of those. But its whatever you think.

260 is about the official ford number i believe. but its still a littlemore, hell if you plan on going f/i build the motor with better internals and the works, if you want to do that, then put the blower on and put it in your car. even if you dont f/i right away the 4.6is apretty good motor. is the rear end still good on the car? since you have n2o on your car i would say definantly do the motor swap, you have the v6 badging and not sure about your bumper, but it will definantly make ppl go WTF. lol. if you have the time also to have yourcar out.................... all systems goooooooo.

just the PI head swap will get 230 at the wheels max. my 99 GT dyno'd less than 220rwhp stock with flowmasters in place

port the heads and cams with the rest of the bolt-ons and you may get 270 at the wheels. this after spending $5000+ on everything. spend that on the V6 and 500+ is at the wheels
