make my car sound better since its just a 3.8
since its JUST a 3.8L the facts are the stock ones will do. anything else like everyone said is a waste. long tubes = not cheap, plus the rest of the exhaust system if you dont have one

i wouldn't say they are a waste as long as he plans on future mods why not do the LT's now??

he will pick up a few hp but not much. factory shorties flow very well which is why i am still running them on my procharged 98 and the reason 3.8's don't gain much from aftermarket ones like the 5.0 does. it really has nothing to do with "it's just a 3.8" it just that ford over engineered the headers for it. the rest of the stock exhaust is junk. ford under engineered the 5.0 factory headers with kinks and tight bends and small primaries which is why they have more gains with aftermarket headers.

Well i put full cat back dual exahust with straight pipes, flowmaster mufflers, and BBK cold air intake. it sounds pretty good for a v6 but i want it to sound louder and deeper. So what should i do?? And where could i get LTs?
I know that headers are more sensitive to performance upgrades.
Thanks guys

Many of the site's sponsors carry them. Plus you get a discount from most of them.

forget the cold air intake. they will give no more power than just a K&N in the stock airbox with the silencer removed.

also forget about the flowmasters and save some money by getting Force Proseries mufflers part# FRC-5202. they are half the price as flowmasters, better quality and have alittle better sound. they are basically generic flowmasters but like i said actually better. $36/muffler instead of $70/muffler. you can always lie and tell people you have flowmasters and they would never tell the difference.

here is a sound clip of the Forces with LT's and no cats with dumping them before the axle.
