What do new gears really do for the car? I see everyone buying new gears and I want to know does it give your car better pick up or something. Also what would be the best gears to put on a 2000 V6?

i would either go with 3.73's or 4.10's. it's your choice. i like 3.73's better but others may say differently.

you got an auto i would get some 410's.

what they do is increase the amount of times the rear wheels rotate per turn of the driveshaft. no horsepower increase but it feels like it, makes your car quicker. you go through gears faster but the downside is you cruise at higher rpm. so you loose a little gas mileage but not much. they are well worth it
