Default Brake Upgrade questions

So I was thinking about upgrading my brakes. Being a v6, is there really a point to upgrading them? What has to be done? rotors and calipers?

The fronts do most of the work, and i belive the cobra rear calipers are the same?? You really notice a difference when you upgrade brakes. I did it on my dads Galaxie, and my 89 and WOW. I was asking around about my 02 also but never got around to it. New pads will only help minimal, Rotors will only help to cool it. You have to get a bigger size and increase stopping friction. Dont get Hawk pads, all they do is throw out dust. Ask Ryan about the cobras

Brett, arnt you in the military?

Thats right, the rear calipers are the same as that off a v6, it just uses a different bracket to hold it better on the larger rotor. To "upgrade" your fronts, you need the rotors, calipers, brake lines, and pads. As for performance, you notice much better stopping power, but its not flying through the windsheild difference. Heres a pic i took from the ones i put in this past weekend(yes i know, dirty).

FRPP sells the whole kit for $250-350, its a great price for that much of an upgrade.
If you have MM&FF mags laying around there should be an add in the back for the kit.

I have yet to do mine but I am way past due for it and I figure I may as well do it instead of new pads and rotors.

Came out to exactly $400 shipped from buyfordracing.com. Everywhere else is selling them for ~$550-$600
