i heard somewhere 4.2's push like 225 or somewhat. with a sc thats a pretty quick stang. i found some articles more in depth on the v6power . net site, but a few ppl have done it here and could tell you more. to my understanding ideally the 4.2 is like a bored out 3.8 .... same block. unless there are diffrent 4.2 L's out there.

Its the same block and everything will go on from your old engine just fine.
They have a steel crank and if he used any kind of good connecting rods and ballanced it then you can get about 700hp out of those before they scatter, if the crank is nitrated then about 850-900. Its a lot of prep work to make that kind of horsepower and its best to use longer rods such as 6.2" so that there is less pressure on the piston skirt.

I just checked their site. Its all stock, I really wouldnt go higher than 350hp out of that. Its also $1300 bux with a $475 core..... You really should just get the internal kit from Supersix and then have a machine shop assemble the shortblock for you. Get some heads and port them, port mach the intake and then get to work at swapping everything over.

SSM's price on their forged longrod 4.3L stroker kit (Internals)is $1775 I think thats a better way to go so that you can make the power that you will regret not having later.
