Default Power Mod

Ok, well for my birthday I'm going to most likely get my exhaust. 2.5" divorced pipes and flow 40's. That's already decided, so don't tell me 2.25"

Anyways, I'm looking into something that will give me a little bit more power. I'd like to do something with the engine, like maybe a ported intake manifold. I saw the cut/weld ported intake manifold from RPM, and it looks like a decent deal, but how much are the gains? Is it worth it for 375 bucks? I'd like to have something fun to do over the break, which is why I want something like this, that shouldn't be too difficult, but will still be fun.

ported intakes will add a huge 5hp to a stock engine.

instead get a set of 3.45 gears from MPS. it will make your car alot more fun to drive and seem like it gained alot more power.

as far as mufflers forget the flowmasters and save your money. get Force proseries mufflers from www.summitracing.com part# FRC-5202. they are the same damn thing as Flowmaster super 40's but have a tad better sound and IMO the build quality is better than flowmasters. they are $36/muffler or roughly 1/2 the price of flowmasters.

ask around here most will tell you the same thing. force proseries mufflers are awsome on the V6

alright, definitely force mufflers then.

The only thing I'm worried about with gears, is that my speedo will be off. Even with the gear, its still pretty far off. I don't want to be putting more miles on my car than I actually am, because its only got 68k, and I'd like to not raise the miles falsely, just because.

Hey I have2 ported and polished intake manifolds for sale if you're interested. I give you a good price if you're interested. I got one of them from RPM-Mustangs. It's the cut and weld. PM me for details.

take a look under your car. If you can't tell how many mufflers you've got, you shouldn't be driving a car.
