Default Help!

I have a 97 mustang that is a pain in my ***. I bought it from a previous owner who crashed it, but it was fine when I bought it. I've had it for three years and now its acting retarted. Anyway I go to put air in my tires today and it wouldnt start. Usually when I have this problem its either A: the anti theft system or B: the fuses. Today was different though. When I tried to start it, it made a strange ticking noise from underneath the hood. It was not the ticking that the anti theft makes. Then the battery died. So I got a jump. I tried to start it again and it cranked but then it just stopped. It wouldnt start. I got it towed to a shop and they tell me that its an electrical problem which will run be about $400 to fix, and on top of that, I might have blown the starter, which is an extra $100 of course. Im thinking about getting a secound opinion because this sounds ridiculous but I want to know what you guys and gals think. Thanks.

Default RE: Help!

If it made that slow voltage tick have the battery checked, if it checks good have the alternator checked.
