nascar uses manuals don't they? that might not be because they are faster, but i'm just sayin'.

i prefer manual; that one time my battery dies and i can push start my car, or i need that extra braking from the transmission while driving in the mountains really pays off.

Well the previous owner powershifted it a lot. 18k miles later the main shaft snapped and my syncros are gone. I cant power shift any higher then 4k.

my opinion: I live in Chicago , with heavy traffic - -auto is the best for this
somewhere outside(at country) I would try a manual

I need an auto so i can eat, call on cell and drink beer... wait thats why i drive one handed,well drive with one foot cause i twist my ankle a lot
