i wouldnt start with sub frames id atleast do springs shocks struts and a sway bar and strut tower first
then maybe the sub frames and from their maybe k member brace and a g trac brace rear shock tower brace and a tubular k member and a arms if you plan to go that far with your car

Id start with subframes especially if you are gona do autcross. It will dramatically reduce the body flex that new edges exert.

All that being said, Subframe connectors should be one of the first, if not THE first, modification made to a Mustang intended to handle... Even before springs and dampers according to Maximum Motorsports:

Chassis bracing is definitely the place to start. The Mustang benefits most from chassis bracing modifications such as subframe connectors, a strut tower brace and k-member brace. If you start modifying other components on the car prior to doing these, you will only accentuate the chassis flex that is already there.
